Payment must be received before the start of the course for participant to attend. By registering for a course the participant understands that they must attend the full course time as posted, agrees to attend 100% of the course and be able to demonstrate all the skills required to achieve Certification.

Each participant agrees to be courteous and respectful of other students and the class instructor. Participants exhibiting inappropriate or disruptive behaviour will be asked to leave.

100% attendance of the course posted time is required. e.g. if the course runs from 9:am til 5:pm you cannot tell your instructor that you have to leave class early for other commitments. The course instructor has no obligation to make themselves available to the participants outside of posted course times.

Physical Limitations

First aid and CPR Training have certain physical requirements which include being able to get down to the ground multiple times throughout the day. If you have any physical limitations please contact us prior to the course to discuss your options and if you will be able to pass this course.

Late Registration

Late registrations will only be accepted if enrollment has not yet reached its maximum.

Any withdrawals must be made in writing (by email) as far in advance as possible.

Participants are eligible for a full refund if Be Prepared receives a course cancellation at least 48 hours in advance to the start of the course. No refunds will be given to participants who do not meet the required standards for certification or to participants who have been removed from the course due to inappropriate or disruptive behaviour.

Transfer Credit

A participant may be able to purchase a course spot in one course and transfer to another course date with a minimum of 48 hours notice.  Course transfers less than 48 hours in advance will be subject to an administrative fee of $40.

Course Cancellation

Be Prepared reserves the right to cancel any courses prior to the commencement of the course. If we have to cancel a program for any reason beyond our control, we will not be held liable. In this unlikely event, we will offer a full refund if it is prior to the commencement of the program, or a pro-rated refund if the program has already commenced.

Circumstances beyond our control include, and are not limited to, below minimum participant registration required for course to run, timetable constraints, fire, explosion, natural disaster, and power failure.

Special Circumstances

A full refund (minus administration fees) may result in cases of family and/or medical emergencies. This will be done on a case by case basis.

In order to receive a refund, you must notify Be Prepared via email at or phone at (613) 242-8867 within the above time frames prior to the course date. Transfers may only be made to courses if there are spots available.
