Course Registration, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Registration and Payment

Payment must be received before the start of the course for participant to attend. By registering for a course the participant understands that they must attend the full course time as posted, agrees to attend 100% of the course and be able to demonstrate all the skills required to achieve Certification.

Code of Conduct

Each participant agrees to be courteous and respectful of other students and the class instructor. Participants exhibiting inappropriate or disruptive behaviour will be asked to leave.

Attendance

100% attendance of the course posted time is required. e.g. if the course runs from 9:am til 5:pm you cannot tell your instructor that you have to leave class early for other commitments. The course instructor has no obligation to make themselves available to the participants outside of posted course times.

Physical Requirements for Training Classes

Both First Aid and CPR Training have certain physical requirements which include being able to get down to the ground and back up multiple times throughout the day. If you think that you have any limitations that could  prevent you from participating in this part of the training, please contact us prior to start of  the course to discuss your options and if you will be able to pass this course.

Late Registration

Late registrations will only be accepted if enrollment has not yet reached its maximum.

Withdrawals/Cancellations/Refunds

All Refund Requests will be subject to the approval of Be Prepared.
At least 1 week Prior to start of class:

If more than 1 week prior to start of the class, a withdrawal/cancellation/refund request can be made ONLINE via your Registered User Account (under Bookings) or via an email sent to us.

Once Be Prepared has approved this request, a refund will be processed.

Less than 1 week Prior to start of class:

If less than 1 week prior to start of the class, a withdrawal/cancellation request can be made via an email sent to us.

Be Prepared reserves the right to make a decision regarding a refund based on the circumstances and on a case by case basis.

Certification Status

No refunds will be given to participants who do not meet the required standards for certification.

Inappropriate Behaviour

No refunds will be given to participants who have been removed from the course due to inappropriate or disruptive behaviour.

Transfer Credit

A participant may be able to purchase a course spot in one course and transfer to another course date with a minimum of 48 hours notice for non blended classes or 5 business days for blended classes. Course transfer requests that are received after that time, will be subject to an administrative fee of $45 and will not be eligible for refunds.

Course Cancellation

Be Prepared reserves the right to cancel any courses prior to the commencement of the course. If we have to cancel a program for any circumstances beyond our control, we will not be held liable. In this unlikely event, we will offer a full refund if it is prior to the commencement of the program, or a pro-rated refund if the program has already commenced.

Circumstances beyond our control include, and are not limited to, below minimum participant registration required for course to run, timetable constraints, fire, explosion, natural disaster, and power failure.

Special Circumstances

A full refund (minus administration fees) may result in cases of family and/or medical emergencies. Be Prepared reserves the right to make this determination.

In order to receive a refund, you must notify Be Prepared via email within the above time frames. Transfers may only be made to courses if there are spots available.
